How to Delete an AWS Managed Account using Consolidated Billing

I tend to find AWS quite a bit more complicated and laborious than Azure, I hope to change my opinion on this eventually, but for now, that still rings true. For those of us who utilise Managed Accounts, and specifically for larger organisations where Consolidated Billing has been enabled, it’s quite challenging to find all the information required to delete an account.

AWS – Consolidated Billing not Providing a Single Invoice?

You can use the consolidated billing feature in AWS Organizations to consolidate billing and payment for multiple AWS accounts, but what if this isn’t working and despite following the available AWS documentation you still don’t seem to be receiving Consolidated Billing?
